Our Prayer Ministry, led by Rachel Mullinax, rests on a simple conviction: God listens when His people pray. We gather regularly to bring the needs of our church, our community, and our world before the Lord, trusting that prayer is not a last resort but a vital part of our life together.
Prayer times include Scripture reading, quiet reflection, and spoken prayers. Some moments are silent and still; others are filled with gentle voices lifting names and situations to God. We pray for the sick, for those walking through grief, for families in crisis, for local schools and leaders, and for those who have not yet come to faith. You do not need to be "good at praying" to join us. Many people begin by simply sitting in the circle, listening, and silently agreeing with others. Over time, as comfort grows, they find themselves offering short, heartfelt prayers of their own. We believe every whispered request matters to God.
Beyond our gathered times, this ministry quietly follows up with phone calls, cards, and ongoing intercession. When someone shares a need on Sunday or through our contact channels, that request does not disappear; it is carried before the Lord by a praying community that cares deeply.
If you are longing for peace, carrying concern for a loved one, or looking for a gentle way to serve, the Prayer Ministry offers a meaningful place to stand in the gap for others. Join us as we seek God together and make prayer the steady, hopeful rhythm of our church family.
