Healing

Healing ministry at Holly Springs United Methodist grows out of a simple belief: when God's people pray, He listens and cares. Following the invitation of James 5:13-16, we create space for those who are hurting-physically, emotionally, or spiritually-to be surrounded by prayer, Scripture, and gentle presence.

Our healing gatherings are quiet and unhurried. You may come to the altar, sit in a pew, or remain in a chair while one or more of us pray with you. Sometimes we anoint with oil as a sign of the Holy Spirit's work. Sometimes we simply lay a hand on a shoulder and ask God to bring comfort, wisdom for doctors, reconciliation in relationships, or peace in the midst of fear. We do not promise quick fixes or easy answers, but we do trust that God meets us in our weakness. Many who come share later that they experienced a deep calm, renewed strength to keep going, or a sense that they were no longer carrying their burden alone. Your request will be treated with confidentiality and kindness, whether you speak much or only say, "Please pray."

If you are walking through illness, grief, depression, addiction, or a heavy season of life, reach out to schedule a time for healing prayer or join us when these services are offered. We will stand with you, ask for God's restoring touch, and continue to pray in the days that follow.
